Before and after the operation, you should prepare your food and medicines. Avoid taking aspirin-containing medications as they may cause bleeding. Avoid smoking or herbal medicine two weeks before surgery.

Avoid the following:
Do not engage in vigorous exercise such as Zumba, aerobics or Zumba.
You can brush gently your teeth in order to lessen the motion of your upper lip.
Constipation can be avoided by eating fiber rich foods.
Face expressions should not be stressed. Don’t laugh too loudly or smile excessively.
Don’t put any weight on your nose. After the operation, avoid wearing glasses for a few weeks.
Recovery Period: In general, recovery can take between one and two weeks. It may take a while for the swelling to go down, even though it’s not as visible after months. In about one month the patient is able to do their everyday activities.
